Hello! 

I am Candice, great to meet you. I'm extremely passionate about learning + community.

Recently, I started a new platform, Disco.co with my amazing co-founder, Chris Sukornyk, designed to help entrepreneurs and orgs create the learning communities of the future. Niche, purpose-built learning communities have the power to upskill society in a sustainable, affordable, accessible and practical way. I have been in tech for most of my career. I helped scale Wattpad, one of the world’s largest storytelling communities, which sold for over US$660MM to Naver Corp.

My love of learning and the future led me to create the 3000+ Gamechanger.co learning community focused on thriving in chaos (complex adaptive ecosystems) and creating the future (we want). I am a venture partner for Lobby.vc an incredible learning community and $200MM Series AI venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley where I get to work with amazing humans like David Hornik, Buddy Arnheim, James Everingham, and Selina Tobacowa.

I am on the Board of Dreambox Learning, a mission driven company solving a very important societal problem of helping kids get better at math and reading using adaptive AI with over 6MM students and 400K teachers using the platform.

I am from South Africa, live in Toronto, a yogi at heart, a mom to awesome boys and a recent pup and married to a filmmaker.

I talk about my ideas about the future of work, learning, innovation and leadership as a keynote speaker, and get great joy helping others reframe the way they see the world.Thanks for stopping by.
